 ning FAIR data into reality’\, CoreTrustSeal (CTS) is playing an increas
 ingly prominent role in the ecosystem of generating and serving FAIR data.
  This webinar introduced the Trustworthy concept and data repository certi
 fications including CTS.\n\nAbout CoreTrustSeal\n\nCoreTrustSeal (http://w
 ww.coretrustseal.org) offers certification for data repositories based on 
 the CoreTrustSeal Data Repositories Requirements catalogue and procedures.
  CoreTrustSeal sets overarching criteria that embrace the prior standards 
 of World Data System (WDS) and the Data Seal of Approval (DSA)\, as well a
 s the ISO 16363 and DIN 31644 standards. Those standards of Trustworthy Da
 ta Repositories are to ensure long-term services to provide data complying
  with the FAIR principles of Findable\, Accessible\, Interoperable\, and R
 eusable.\n\nSince September 2017\, CoreTrustSeal has certified over 50 rep
 ositories worldwide (predominantly from the social sciences and humanities
 \, with increasing uptake from life sciences) and thus is a key component 
 of the emerging infrastructure for open\, data-centric science.\n\nCoreTru
 stSeal works with candidate repositories to meet 16 Requirements that will
  ensure they are persistent trustworthy sources of data and data services.
  The Requirements reflect the mission focused on data provision and preser
 vation\, appropriate expert staffing levels\, technical infrastructure\, g
 overnance\, and guaranteed continuance.\n\nCandidate repositories must hav
 e documented workflows from ingestion to dissemination\; curatorial practi
 ces that secure the integrity and authenticity of the data\; and apply the
  most suitable licensing\, confidentiality\, and ethical practices for the
 ir domains. They must show that they have appropriate metadata management 
 and archival functions\, be open to review and able to evolve (see https:/
