Bioconductor Seminar Series - Dec 2025

Bioconductor Seminar Series is a new quarterly online event highlighting recent advances in computational biology and their impact on Bioconductor methods, workflows, and community practice. Conceived by Bioconductor founder Robert Gentleman, the series launched in December 2025 with a session featuring Constantin Ahlmann-Eltze, Wolfgang Huber, and Simon Anders discussing their 2025 Nature Methods paper, “Deep-learning-based Gene Perturbation Effect Prediction Does Not Yet Outperform Simple Linear Baselines.” Davide Risso served as discussant, with Robert Gentleman moderating.
