Introduction to Liquid-State Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR)
NMR is an abbreviation for Nuclear Magnetic Resonance. NMR spectroscopy is a versatile tool that provides information not only on the structures, but also on the dynamics of various biological and synthetic molecules at an atomic level. With liquid-state NMR, it is possible to perform experiments on samples in liquids that can for instance resemble the cellular environment, allowing biologically relevant states to be observed. This video shows how liquid-state NMR works, what samples can be studied and in which research domains it can be used for.
